County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* On Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. Cameron Scott Swaby, 23, Worthington, was booked into the Putnam County Jail for probation violation.

* On Thursday, Jan. 10 at 1:35 p.m. April Dawn Wilson-Witt, 31, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for operating while intoxicated and probation violation.

At 6:37 p.m. Robert Patrick Lopez, 42, Greencastle, was charged with violation of home detention.

At 10:20 p.m. Alexandra Michelle Cooper, 19, Terre Haute, was booked in for operating while intoxicated and probation violation.

Sheriff's Department

On Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 3:36 p.m. Megan M. Benecke, 25, Crawfordsville, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser when her right front wheel left the roadway and she lost control of the car.

The vehicle left the road and went into the ditch.

Deputy Danny Wallace estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500.
