Heavy wind and rain from overnight Tuesday left their mark around Greencastle Tuesday morning. Firefighters spent nearly three hours in the area of East Franklin Street and Paradise Lane after a tree took out power lines and tore them from three residences in the area. The tree's mark was still on the neighborhood late Wednesday morning, with a branch through the back window of this Ford Mustang (above) parked in front of the Harcourt Manor apartments at 417 E. Franklin St.

Direct wind damage was the issue at the Putnam County Airport where the south fence along Airport Road was down for several hundred feet.

On the city's west side, high water was backed up to the east of Rockville Road and trickling across the street.The storm produced .94 inches of rain as Tuesday logged a record high of 68 in Greencastle.
