COVINGTON -- The North Putnam boys' basketball team moved its win streak to six games with a 66-62 win at Covington on Friday night.

The Cougars are now 8-10 this season.

NPHS coach Nathan Martindale said he was pleased his team was able to get a big road win, particularly at a challenging gym like the Trojans have.

"We handled the pressure well," Martindale said. "I thought we played really well."

The Cougars had four double-digit scorers, accounting for 59 of their 66 points.

Senior Jameson Brewer led the team with 17 points.

Junior Jordan Nauert and senior Jake Haste each added 16 and senior Zach Green had 10. The Cougars will look to keep the win-streak alive tonight when they travel to Lizton to take on the Tri-West Bruins.

The win over Covington (12-6) is the most impressive of the current win streak.
