Moving On...

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

The Putnam County Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) recently honored Larry Jones (left) for his 31 years of outstanding service to the community. Jones, a Roachdale resident, began serving on the planning commission in 1981 and made the decision to leave both the BZA and the planning commission after deciding it could use some younger blood. Jones always made it his goal to look out for the local farmers while on the board. He plans on using his extra time with his wife Elizabeth as well as farming, hunting and fishing. Commissioner Don Walton presents Jones with a clock during his final meeting on Thursday evening.
