Betty Lou McCorkhill, 74, of Greencastle and formerly of Salina, Kan., passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.

She was born on June 12, 1938 in Salina, Kan., to Willis J. Bledsoe and Helen L. Nelson Bledsoe.

Betty had been a resident of this area since 2005 after her marriage to Kenneth L. McCorkhill. She had also lived in Oregon and Colorado.

She had worked in the Purchasing Department at The Lee Co. in Salina for 18 years, where she was recognized as Employee of the Year, and had also been employed part-time as a waitress at the Mid America Inn Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands, Oren A. Gleason Sr. and Kenneth L. McCorkhill.

Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Bledsoe of Salina, Kan., and John W. Bledsoe of Redding, Iowa; a sister, Nancy Kirby of independence, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Clinton Falls Cemetery with Rev. Buck Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.
