Paging Sen. Bray

Friday, March 1, 2013

Cloverdale High School students Jackson Szczerbik and Christa Asbury join District 37 State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) for the day as legislative pages at the Indiana Statehouse recently. Pages spend a day touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators. "It's been an honor to have several bright students from our community visit the Statehouse and experience the legislative process," Sen. Bray said. "We all learn about state government and how laws are created in the classroom, but this is a chance for students to see the legislature up close and hear debate about the real issues affecting Hoosiers." Students in grades 6-12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 4. To register to serve as a Senate page, visit www.in.gov/senatepageprogram.
