Leanna Masters
Senior, South Putnam, Center
Masters led the county in points per game (12.2) and led the Eagles in rebounds (8.4 per game), blocks, free throws made and field goal percentage.
Her size and passing made her a matchup nightmare every night.
Rayleigh Amis
Senior, Greencastle, Forward
The runner-up for Player of the Year, Amis averaged seven points and seven rebounds per game. Her biggest contributions came on the defense end, where she guarded the opponents top scorer most nights.
Jessica Lenihan
Sophomore, Greencastle, Forward
Lenihan was second in the county in scoring (11.5 points per game) and chipped in seven rebounds each night.
A threat to score inside, Lenihan expanded her range to 15-feet and created problems for the opposition.
Sydney Shrum
Senior, Cloverdale, Forward
Shrum led the county in rebounds for the second-straight season (177, 8.4 per game).
She was an anchor with her leadership and passing from the high post, while contributing 6.6 points per game.
Paige Gruener
Senior, Cloverdale, Guard
Gruener averaged 4.0 steals per game, jumping into passing lane from the top of the zone defense. She also led the county by making 37.8 percent of her three-point shots while averaging a team-high 10.3 points per game.
Mallory Cash
Senior, South Putnam, Guard
Cash was second on her team in scoring (9.4 points per game), finished second in the county in three-point percentage (37.3) and averaged nearly two steals each night. Her ability to space the floor helped balance the Eagles' offense.
Bethany Wiatt
Junior, North Putnam, Guard
Wiatt finished second in the county in field goal percentage (47.8 percent), despite spending most of her time handling the ball on the perimeter.
She also led the county in assists, averaging four per game.
Honorable Mention
Sam Lucas
Senior, North Putnam, Center
With team-highs 8.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, Lucas was the centerpiece of the Cougars' offense.
Mattie Varvel
Senior, South Putnam, Forward
Varvel played a point forward role for the Eagles, scoring 7.5 points per game and leading the team with 71 assists.
Callan Taylor
Sophomore, Greencastle, Guard
Taylor led county guards with 4.0 rebounds per game and made a county-high 65 freebies. She also had 47 steals.
Coach of the Year
Bradley Key
Greencastle
Key led Greencastle to its first sectional title in 20 years. The squad had just two seniors but never found leadership to be a problem.
Key inspired his players to step into different roles and challenged them to achieve new heights.
