City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

At 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Albert Epple arrested a 26-year-old Greencastle man on domestic battery charges.

Macy Fordice was taken into custody on Beveridge Street and lodged in the Putnam County Jail. Fordice faces an additional charge of interfering with a 911 call.

One recent traffic citation was issued by city officers.

At 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Kimberly Pearson, 42, Brazil, was ticketed by Officer Epple for having an expired license plate.

City Fire

Three recent runs were reported by the Greencastle Fire Department.

* At 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, the Greencastle Fire Department performed a medical assist with Operation Life at 1601 Hospital Drive. Crews returned to station at 7:21 p.m.

* GFD made two runs to Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, 509 S. Locust St., on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

At 9:16 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters investigated an alarm at the fraternity, finding the cause to be water in a detector head. They cleared the scene at 10:09 p.m.

At 4:52 a.m. Thursday, crews returned to the fraternity for an active alarm. No problem was detected, and responders cleared the scene at 5:26 a.m.
