The Putnam County Community Foundation has announced that Jillian Miller of the Indiana Non-Profit Resource Network will be coming to Greencastle on March 11 to present a workshop titled "Strategic Planning: Road Maps for the Future."

The workshop will be held Monday at the Inn at DePauw from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It includes a catered lunch and training materials.

Due in part to support provided by First National Bank, the workshop is offered to community members at a cost of $25 per workshop participant.

The workshop is the first session of the 2013 Non-Profit Learning Series, which is geared toward community leaders who staff or volunteer with non-profit organizations, churches and units of government, and wish to build their knowledge and skills in areas of governance, fundraising, marketing and more.

"A strong nonprofit sector is one of the hallmarks of a successful community," Putnam County Community Foundation Executive Director Elaine Peck said. "We want our nonprofit leaders to have all the tools and information and support they need to accomplish their missions."

Brought to Greencastle by the Putnam County Community Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation, the Non-Profit Learning Series consists of eight workshops.

The first four workshops (March-June) will be staged in Greencastle at the Inn at DePauw. The final four workshops (August-November) will be conducted in Crawfordsville at the Crawfordsville Country Club.

The cost to attend all eight workshops is $100 if registered and paid by March 4.
