Marvin Pridemore

Marvin M. Pridemore, 73, Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born Feb. 27, 1940 in Mitchell, the son of Kirzie Holbert and Blanche (Davidson) Pridemore.

Marvin married Marilyn J. Hutchens on April 11, 1963, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 2004.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include three children, Kevin Pridemore of Greencastle, Ronald Pridemore of Reelsville and Kristy D. Mitchell of Greencastle; 10 grandchildren; and seven siblings, Wayne Pridemore of Norman, Ind., Roy Pridemore of Indianapolis; Charlie Pridemore of Greenwood; Stanley Pridemore of Mooresville; Lois Johnson of San Diego; Cathlene Caceara of Chicago; Eva Garrison of Mitchell and Helen Ackerman of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Roger Pridemore and siblings Michael R. Pridemore, Leon Pridemore, Kenneth Pridemore, Winfred Pridemore, Mary Jane Pace, James Pridemore, Clarence Pridemore, Ronald Eugene Pridemore, Henry Pridemore, Harold Dean Pridemore, Carolyn Anderson and Juanita Pridemore.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 at Brick Chapel Cemetery.
