Patricia Ann 'Patti' Norman Cope

Patricia Ann "Patti" Norman Cope, 40, of Greencastle, was taken to heaven on Friday, April 5, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.

Patti was born on July 3, 1972 in Greencastle to loving and dedicated parents Jerry Norman and Gerrie Thomas Norman.

A 1990 graduate of Greencastle High School, she graduated summa cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University in August 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Patti was a 17-year employee of Boston Scientific in Spencer, and was recently promoted to senior buyer.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Curtis G. Norman, grandmother, Louise Fern Dillon Thomas, and a cousin, Belinda Jean Hunter.

Surviving are her loving husband and soul mate, Robert M. Cope, whom she married on Feb. 2, 1993; her parents, Jerry and Gerrie and Don and Joan Cope; grandmother Luda Ruth Littrell Norman; two sons, Jonathan C. Cope and wife Collette, and Jacob L. Cope; her sister and best friend, Athena Cooper and husband Nick; a brother, Jerald C. Norman II and companion Krystal; her beloved grandson, Oliver Cope who is the light of her life; Robert's sisters and brothers, Lydia Cope, Bud and Sandy Cope, Debbie and Junior Crowe, Steve and Debbie Cope, Richard and Susan Cope; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, April 11 at the funeral home, with Pastor Jason Allmon officiating. Interment will follow at Little Walnut Cemetery.

Patti loved everything and everyone, her family, friends, dancing, her new pool and sunsets, especially along the beach.

Patti, we love you and will always remember your sweet smile, rest in peace with our love.

In lieu of bouquets or planters, spring perennial bulbs would be appreciated for Patti's Memorial Garden that will be planted by her new pool.
