Cougars' girls finish second at Tri-West

LIZTON -- The North Putnam girls' track team finished second at the three-team meet at Tri-West on Monday. Metro also participated.

Audrey Healey and Sam Lucas each picked up wins for the Cougars. Healey topped the long jump field at 14-9 1/2 and Lucas won the shot put with a distance of 37-1.

Other event results for the Cougars are as follows:

* Keylee Pitcock was fourth in the high jump, clearing at 4-3.

* In the discuss, the Cougars took second, third and fourth (Bethany Wiatt, Hannah Powell and Josie Parent).

* In the shot put, Powell was second (31-2) and Adri Millican was third (30-11).

* Shelby Walker finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (18.5), followed by Pitcock in fourth (18.87).

* Hannah Gray finished third in the 100-meter dash (14.75), just ahead of Ashton Lucas (15.57).

* In the 1600, Clare Dean finished third.

* The 4x100 relay team of Walker, Emily Harrington, Ashton Lucas and Gray finished second at 58.41.

* Alex Land was third and Kylee Detro fourth in the 400.

* Walker was second (54.40) and Marshall fourth in the 300 hurdles.

* The 4x800 relay team of Land, Detro, Marshall and Dean finished second.

* In the 800, Dean finished third.

* Kayla Clodfelter was fourth in the 200, finishing at 31.78.

* Harrington, Land, Detro and Marshall combined to finish second in the 4x400.
