INDIANAPOLIS -- District 44 State Rep. Jim Baird (R-Greencastle) has congratulated Phoenix Closures Inc., Greencastle, for receiving the WorkOne Achievement Award.
In a ceremony Wednesday the Statehouse, 12 Hoosier companies and 12 individuals were recognized for their commitment to job creation as well as utilizing WorkOne's available resources for exceptional career development and personal advancement.
"I would like to congratulate Phoenix Closures Inc. on receiving this esteemed award," Rep. Baird said. "This company is dedicated to connecting Hoosiers with jobs, and I appreciate their commitment to benefiting their lives."
WorkOne is the heart of workforce development committed to connecting Hoosiers with available positions as well as providing access to career training opportunities through one of its 11 regional offices.

One of those events is the WorkOne Achievement Award ceremony, which honored Phoenix Closures Inc. and 11 other companies for their notable job creation efforts and for developing the lives of Hoosiers.
Twelve other award recipients were honored for their dedication to their own personal advancement through the use of WorkOne education, training and employment services.
"WorkOne is an invaluable state resource, and through their tireless efforts and outstanding training programs, many Hoosiers from across the state have learned and acquired the necessary skills to successfully enter the jobs market," Rep. Baird said.
The awards were presented by Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Scott B. Sanders at the Indiana Statehouse.
