County Jail

Four people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Joshua Elijah Hoffa, 35, Cloverdale, was arrested for violation of home detention.

* At 10:50 a.m. Thursday, William Leonard Matthews Jr., 32, Brazil, was charged with failure to appear.

At 11:10 a.m. Allen Lee Johnson, 18, Noblesville, was held at the jail for possession of stolen property and resisting law enforcement.

At 12:15 p.m. Kevin Zachary Norris, 18, Hollywood, Fla., was booked in for possession of stolen property and two counts of resisting law enforcement.

City Police

Two recent traffic citations were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 12:22 a.m. Thursday, Joseph Haynes, 19, Potomac, Md., was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham for 55 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street, south of Martinsville Street.

-- At 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Angela Carter, 39, Greencastle, was cited on U.S. 231 North by Sgt. Charles Inman for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department was dispatched to a pair of recent runs.

* At 7:23 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters performed a medical assist at 805 Crescent Dr., returning to station at 7:38 p.m.

* At 10:25 a.m. Thursday, GFD was called to 64 N. U.S. 231, but was disregarded at 10:25 a.m.
