Gobin to host guest speaker Princess Jusu this Sunday
Princess M. Jusu will be the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. worship service of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church on April 28.
Jusu is a missionary with the Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church serving in Monrovia, Liberia, as an instructor at the United Methodist Women's Leadership Training Center. She will be in the Putnam County area until May 4 as a guest of Ann Newton, Global Health Advocate for the Indiana United Methodist Church.
Her ministry includes teaching skills that entail tailoring, tie-dying, knitting and home economics for women and girls who for various reasons have dropped out of school. Jusu also assists with the village health outreach program for women.
The community is invited to attend the worship service to hear Princess Jusu speak about her ministry. A collection will also be taken up at the service to support her ministry.
