CHS girls outrun by Tri-West Bruins
CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale girls' track and field team finished second at a three-team meet at Cloverdale on Thursday.
The Clovers totaled 58 points, just behind Tri-West (73.5) and ahead of Cascade (18.5).
CHS had wins in six events, but the Bruins' depth was too much to overcome.
Senior Amillia Nally won the 1600-meter run by a nose, edging past the second-place runner by just .03 seconds. She finished in a time of 5:55.02.
Claudia Monnett had two wins, taking both the 800- and 3200-meter runs.
Paige Gruener won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.9 seconds and Laura Worthington won the discus with a throw of 82-feet, 9-inches.
The Clovers also won the 4x400 relay.
