Retta Maxine O'Neal

Retta Maxine O'Neal, 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1932 in Greencastle. Retta was the daughter of Robert Joseph Parrish and Mildred Alvord Parrish and stepmother of Lola Margaret Parrish.

Retta married Albert Floyd O'Neal in 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1986.

Retta owned and operated a restaurant in Belle Union for a few years, but was predominantly a homemaker.

Survivors include her son Mark A. O'Neal and wife Rosemary; daughter-in-law Lana O'Neal; grandchildren Stacy, Shane, Andrew, Adam and Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Craig, Hana, Jaden and Ayden; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to husband Floyd, she was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Judy Ann and son Albert Floyd "Bud" O'Neal Jr., brothers William E. "Bill" Parrish and Robert Joseph "Junior" Parrish and sister Florence Eveland.

There will be graveside services for family and friends at a later date following cremation.
