Jack Lee Mendenhall, 75, of Roachdale, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

He was born on May 8, 1937 to Frank and Anna Copner Mendenhall at Bloomingdale.

He graduated from New Winchester High School and owned and operated Mendenhall Construction and Excavating. He also taught at Area 30 Career Center.

Jack was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Roachdale Masonic Lodge 602 F & AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

He married Nancy Perkins on May 18, 1979 at Roachdale, and she survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Jenny (Brandon) Martin of Indianapolis; two sons, Brian and Bruce; two grandsons, Brandon and Emmet; one granddaughter, Lila; three brothers, John (Jody) Mendenhall of New Winchester, Bobby (Elizabeth) Mendenhall of Brownsburg, and Melvin Mendenhall of Friendswood, Texas; and one sister, Loretta (Dave) Botkin of Edinburg.

Preceding him in death were three brothers Elvin, Bill and Harold Mendenhall, and two sisters, Mary Herring and Betty Fellows.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Roachdale Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dave Bowers officiating. Burial will be at Roachdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Roachdale Masonic Lodge will have Masonic memorial services at 8 p.m. Monday.
