George O. Hoten

George O. Hoten, 78, Leavenworth, Ind., died on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Harrison County Hospital.

George was born Jan. 18, 1935 in Harrison County, the son of Shelby Hoten and Mary Horner.

He married Norma (Killion-Minor) Hoten, on Oct. 7, 1989.

He was a member of the Crawford Consolidated United Methodist Church, Leavenworth.

He worked at International Paper for 20 years.

Survivors include children Julian Hoten of Huntingburg, Ind., Roger Hoten of Alton, Ind., Alan Hoten of Marengo, Ind., Michael Hoten of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis Minor of Cloverdale, Dwayne Minor of Reelsville, Darrell Minor of Greencastle and Shirley Webb of Gosport; brother Charles Hoten of Fredricksburg, Ind.; sister Ellen Gaither of Nineveh, Ind.; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, with Rev. Jason Walton officiating. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and after 9 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Croy's Creek Cemetery.
