Clovers' softball wins at Covenant Christian
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Cloverdale softball team earned a dominant win on Monday, beating Covenant Christian 14-0 in five innings.
Senior Katt Raisor pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout with zero walks and six strikeouts.
Bradanne Toney was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk, Heather Goss was 3-for-3 and Kim Winders was 2-for-2.
Cloverdale (3-8) also got hits from Lauren Patterson, who doubled, Lindsay Robson, Jess Winders and Raisor.
The Clovers host Shakamak on Thursday at 5 p.m. before facing South Putnam in the first round of the Putnam County Tournament on Saturday.
On Tuesday Cloverdale lost to Linton 1-0.
Raisor pitched a complete game and allowed three hits.
Lauren Patterson doubled; Kim Winders and Madison Smith both singled, but Cloverdale was unable to string hits together to score.
