Civic League releases concert schedule for its 20th ParkFest

ParkFest will celebrate its 20th season this summer with a series of concerts at the Bob Flanigan Bandshell in Greencastle's Robe-Ann Park.

From June 4 to Aug. 20 the Greencastle Civic League will present its annual ParkFest Concert Series that features local artists and talent on the outdoor stage at the park.

The 2013 ParkFest lineup includes a pair of acts each Tuesday evening:

June 4 -- Mike VanRensselaer and The Hauskatz.

June 11 -- Homebrew Holler and the White Lightning Boys.

June 18 -- Craig Brenner and The Tad Robinson Trio.

June 25 -- John Bean and The Mongrel Dogs.

July 2 -- The Covered Bridge Country Chorus and The Fret Set.

July 9 -- Bridge 19 and Mary Michael.

July 16 -- Jason Coons and Saturday's Shoes.

July 30 -- Carly Rhine and Runaway Moon.

Aug. 13 -- Cash Prize Karaoke w/PB and Jam.

Aug. 20 -- Gus Moon and War Radio.

The ParkFest series will skip July 23 due to the Putnam County Fair.

Greg Hedge of Greg's Audio Systems will be providing sound equipment and expertise for the entire summer.

The 20th annual ParkFest series is sponsored by Dr. Wayne Lewis, Dr. Dale Oliver, ETA International, The National Center for College Costs, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Buzzi Unicem USA, Butler LP and Fertilizer, HMSB Insurance Services, John and Diana LaViolette and Ellen and Bob Sedlack.

The Civic League will also be working with Greencastle Friends of the Park Association, who sponsor Teen Night on July 30 and DePauw University and the Russell J Compton Center for Peace and Justice, who sponsor the final concert as a welcome to the incoming freshman class at DePauw.
