Larry J. Haltom

Larry J. Haltom, 63, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

Larry was born on April 1, 1950 in Putnam County to Lester Haltom and Francis Roach Haltom.

A 1968 graduate of Greencastle High School, he was the meat manager of the Greencastle Marsh Supermarket for 27 years.

After his retirement from Marsh, he was employed at the Putnam Park Road Course for the past 16 years.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid collector of H/O model trains.

His parents preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Sandra Christy Haltom; two sons, Terry Alan Haltom and wife Kimberly of Heritage Lake, and Randy Scott Haltom of Danville; a sister, Barbara Haltom of Speedway; two brothers, Ronald Haltom of Speedway, and Robert Haltom and wife Faye of Avon; two granddaughters, Lindsey Skyler York and Laura Beth Haltom; three great-grandchildren, Chevy Lynn York, Landon York and Skyler York; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 17 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Chaplain Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
