Steven Payne

Steven Payne, 68, Orlando, Fla., was taken from us on Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Orlando, Fla.

Steven was born Jan. 31, 1945 in Greencastle, Ind., the son of Russell Payne and Norma (Alexander) Payne.

Steve had a love for life, family and his work.

He served his country for 37 years and retired as a sergeant major. He then proceeded to work for CHEP for the next 10 years.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, driving his Corvette, cooking chicken wings at UCF football games and cheering on his grandkids.

He was an amazing husband, father, son, grandfather and friend to us all. We know he is in heaven and able to see again, which is a blessing. Heaven gained an amazing man and now we all have an amazing angel.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; his mother, Norma; his children, Chad Payne (Cyndi) and Brooke Gregory (Mark); and five grandchildren, Camden, Channing, Collins, Brock and Carsyn.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, Fla.
