Grace Tilley

Grace Tilley, 95, a lifelong resident of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1917 in Greencastle to Granville Richard Marion Harmon and Carrie Baughman Harmon.

Grace retired from Kroger as a cashier with over 30 years of service. She had also worked at Allison Transmissions during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Fredie Harmon, Minnie Walton, Roxie Hartness, Pauline Marshall, Katie Skinner, Earl Harmon and Everett Harmon.

Grace married Leroy Tilley after 10 years of courtship.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Leroy; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m.. until time of services at the funeral home.

Grace loved to quilt and enjoyed cooking and the beauty of flowers.
