Wanda L. (Caudill) Stinson

Wanda L. (Caudill) Stinson, 74, Greencastle, formerly of Stilesville, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Danville Rehabilitation.

She was born on April 18, 1939 in Bainbridge and was the daughter of the late Edward and Novella (Singleton) Caudill. She graduated from Belle Union High School in 1957.

On Oct. 3, 1959 she married James Stinson in a double wedding ceremony at the Union Valley Church at Belle Union. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6. 2010.

Wanda retired from the Hendricks County Hospital in 1999 where she worked in housekeeping for several years. She made many friends there and always enjoyed going back and visiting them when she had doctor appointments.

She is survived by her four children, William Stinson and wife Cindy, Greencastle, Douglas Stinson and wife Teresa, Greencastle, Amy Stinson, formerly of Stilesville and Thomas Stinson and wife Amber, Avon; eight grandchildren, Cody and Cheyanne Stinson of Brownsburg, Maddison and Gracie of Avon, Raymond, Robert, Conner and little Gracie of Greencastle; her sister, Phyllis (Caudill) Hamilton, Greencastle; sister-in-law Jean Allee, Reelsville; brother-in-laws, Earl Evens, Arkansas and Hansford Stinson, Fillmore. Wanda was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 3 p.m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from noon until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children James Dee Stinson and Lori Leigh Stinson, her sisters, Luverne Evens and Verdenia Caudill and her twin brother Wilburn Caudill.
