99th annual Bainbridge High School Alumni Association banquet

The 99th annual Bainbridge High School Alumni Association banquet will be held on Saturday, June 29 in the Bainbridge Community Building. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with a buffet dinner following at 6:30 p.m.

The highlights of the new Bainbridge High School Alumni scholarship endowment with the Putnam County Community Foundation will be shared by Dick Thompson (Class of 1952) of North Salem and current Alumni Association president, Dr. Michael T. O'Hair (Class of 1962) of Kokomo.

Classes to be honored this year at the Banquet include 1943 (70 years since graduation), 1953 (60 years since graduation) and 1963 (50 years since graduation). Class speakers scheduled to make responses include Kenneth Etcheson of North Canton, Illinois for the class of 1943; Tom Miller of rural Greencastle for the 1953 class and Steve Littrell of Avon for the 1963 class.

The public may purchase tickets for the banquet until June 22 by contacting secretary Brenda Brackney Heacock, of rural Greencastle at 739-6380 or treasurer Joe Martin, of Greencastle at 301-9092. Information is also available on the Bainbridge Alumni website at: www.bainbridgealumni.webs.com, which is maintained by Doyne Priest of Greencastle.

Other officers of the Bainbridge High School Alumni Association this year include Marilyn O'Hair Winters of rural Rockville, vice-president and Alan Ader of Rockville, corresponding Secretary.
