David A. 'Sudsy' Sutherlin

David A. "Sudsy" Sutherlin, 64, Cloverdale, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1948 in Putnam County and was the son of the late William Arthur "Bud" and Dorothy Ellen (Ridgway) Sutherlin.

He married Myrna Lynn (Tyler) Sutherlin on Nov. 14, 1966 and she survives.

He is also survived by his daughters, Leah Lynn Moy and husband John Moy Jr. of Quincy, Lori Lynn Belcher and husband Ronald Belcher of Gosport and Rebecca Lynn Hilton and husband Ryan Hilton of Cloverdale, his brothers, William R. Sutherlin and wife Glenna of Greencastle and Ron Edward Sutherlin and wife Joan Ann of Cary, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He retired from the Putnam County Highway Department and had served as superintendent.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 21 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua David Huber.
