Slope work to close Albin Pond Road at dam early next week

Albin Pond Road on Greencastle's northeast side will be closed at the site of the dam during the workday hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

The contractor will be coming back to work on decreasing the slope of the bank to make it safer and easier to mow and care for, Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray said in announcing the closure.

The only area that will be closed is at the dam itself and again, only during work day hours, she noted.

"They think it will take all of three days," the mayor said, "so hopefully the weather will cooperate and we won't have any delays."
