Brazil Concert Band to hold Independence Day celebration

The Brazil Concert Band, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, proudly presents "America First, A Grand Patriotic Extravaganza!"

Sunday June 30th, at the special time of 7:30 pm, Forest Park rain or shine.

In celebration of the upcoming Independence Day, the BCB will include all the patriotic favorites in a red, white and blue theme.

John Philip Sousa marches include "The Stars And Stripes Forever", "George Washington Bicentennial" and "America First".

Also on parade will be "Across America" and "America Forever" by Huber's composer friends Robert P. Hills Jr. and Malinda Zenor.

From the BCB archives comes "Columbia Grand Patriotic Potpourri" by George Barnard and "The United States Army March" by Captain Thomas Darcy.

"The Ultimate Patriotic Singalong" by Brubaker and "The Star-Spangled Banner" will include the audience and songleaders T. J. Sneddon, Duane Caperton and Janelle R. Huber.

Janelle Huber, band director at Red River High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota, will conduct "Hoagy Carmichael: An American Classic" by Kessler.

"Star-Spangled Salute" by Barnes, "The Fourth Of July" by Cacavas and Carmen Dragon's classic "America, The Beautiful" round out this ultimate patriotic evening.
