'Summer in the Country'

Just steps from the stage where one of them may be crowned next Saturday, 2013 Putnam County Fair Queen contestants (from left) Kathryn Welch, Tatum Straziscar, Alli Torr, Jessie McKean and Sarah Woodworth line dance as Levi Riggs sings "Summer in the Country." The country music artist and new Putnam County resident performed at the Putnam County 4-H Fair kickoff Sunday at the Fairgrounds Community Building. Approximately 200 people attended the ice cream social and concert that serves as a fundraiser for the Putnam County Fairgrounds endowment.
