County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

* At 12:59 p.m. Kenneth Carter Allen, 34, Cloverdale, was arrested for residential entry and possession of marijuana.

* At 9:45 p.m. Kyle Andrew Kelly, 20, Greencastle, was charged with probation violation.

Sheriff's Department

* At 4:51 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, Katinka Wegerhoff, 57, Avon, was westbound on U.S. 36 in a 1999 Lincoln Navigator.

Sgt. Craig Sibbitt said the vehicle appeared to have left the road on the north side, crossing the fog line and colliding with a guardrail face.

The SUV continued down the guardrail for approximately 30 feet before coming to rest down a deep ravine, facing eastbound.

Wegerhoff had a small cut on her left eye and was checked out by medical staff and released. She said she had not been working a double shift and that she could have fallen asleep.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

* At 8:42 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, Tammy S. Hubble, 47, Greencastle, was southbound on County Road 200 West in a 2006 Buick Rendezvous when she smelled something burning.

She told Deputy Matt Biggs she stopped the vehicle and popped the hood. After opening the hood, she saw a small flame that immediately grew.

She grabbed as many of her personal belongings as possible and called 911.

Hubble was not injured.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.
