County Jail

Six people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

* At 12:05 p.m. Mary Lou Morrison, 42, Terre Haute, was arrested for probation violation and possession of paraphernalia.

* At 1 p.m. Kali Jane Rugenstein, 28, Indianapolis, was charged with probation violation.

* At 4:04 p.m. Charlene Sue Custis, 60, Greencastle, was held at the jail on two counts of invasion of privacy.

* At 4:25 p.m. Timothy C. Day, 51, Cloverdale, was booked in for probation violation.

* At 5:24 p.m. Shelby Ann Miles, 18, Greencastle, was lodged in the jail for battery and disorderly conduct as the result of a reported fight on North Indiana Street in Greencastle.

* At 5:49 p.m. Dean Weston Knight, 22, Greencastle, was booked in for battery and disorderly conduct as the result of a reported fight on North Indiana Street in Greencastle.

City Police

Four recent traffic citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 2:05 am. Monday, Melissa Rodriguez, 21, Whiting, was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham for speeding on Bloomington Street. She was cited for 53 mph in a 30-mph zone.

-- At 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Ronald Buchanan, 30, Brazil, was cited on East Washington Street by Sgt. Charles Inman for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

-- At 10 p.m. Saturday, Derrick Mitchell, 18, Indianapolis, was ticketed on Bloomington Street by Sgt. Inman for being an operator never licensed.

-- On July 12, Wendell Barrett, 52, Indianapolis, was cited on North Jackson Street by Officer Matt Huffman for having an expired temporary plate.
