The Cloverdale girls' golf team played its first road match of the season on Tuesday, traveling to Crawfordsville and beating the Athenians 221-224.

MaKayla Moore led the Clovers with a career-best round of 46.

"I was pleased with our first performance away from home," Langdon said. "This course had a lot of potential trouble and our girls, for the most part, did a good job of avoiding it. ... We just need to work on being more consistent so we can put a couple of those scores together on a given night."

Harlee Fuetter had a 53 for Cloverdale, followed by Anna Spencer's 59, Izzy Wardlow's 63, Kelsey Nees' 69 and Abbie Speas' 71.

The Clovers play next on Monday.
