Betty Jean Jones, 87, of Greenwood, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.

The daughter of Hosie D. and Clessie M. Law Boyd, Betty was born Jan. 13, 1926 in Scottsville, Ky.

A retired realtor, Betty and Marlin owned and operated Red's Grille in Indianapolis from 1958 to 1967.

She was a member of the Cloverdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lomoro, of Greenwood; two sisters, Joyce Clark, of Scottsville, Ky., and Alice Hughbanks, of Greenfield; grandchildren, Brent Ziegler, Lori Buntin, Andrea Johannes, Tricia Vincent and LeAnne Whitt; six great-granddaughters and five great-grandsons.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by husband Marlin; daughter Brenda S. Stanley; brothers Jewel and Julian Boyd and sister Carol Fishburn.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home (www.forestlawncemetery-fh.com), Greenwood, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
