Tiger Cubs and Athenians finish in 1-1 tie

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle boys' soccer team had one of its most active offensive games of the season on Tuesday, but Crawfordsville was up to the task of stopping it.

The two teams finished in a 1-1 tie.

Greencastle (1-3-1) got its goal from sophomore Zach Wilkerson in the first half with an assist by junior Sedrick Weinschenk. Crawfordsville answered in the second half when senior Josue Cardenas got a ball past senior Zane Miller.

The Tiger Cubs attempted 10 shots, keeping constant pressure, but the Athenians were just as active in the up-and-down game.

Greencastle returns to the pitch on Thursday at Danville at 7 p.m.
