Greencastle loses golf match to Plainfield

PLAINFIELD -- The Greencastle girls' golf team's best is not yet enough. The group finished with a season best 215 at the nine-hole event, but lost to the Quakers, who shot a 183.

Senior Liz Johnson once again led the way for the Tiger Cubs. She finished at 50 strokes, two better than teammate Lokysa Scheuermann. Junior Lauren Bridgewater came in at 55, senior Haley Cash at 58 and Alexa Newlin at 62.

Plainfield's Nicci Gilbert was the medalist. She shot a 43.

Greencastle gets back on course Wednesday at Windy Hill against West Vigo at 4:45 p.m.
