Concrete Proof

Ongoing construction work on the Greencastle streetscape project shifts to putting in new sidewalks along the north side of East Washington Street as workmen smooth out fresh concrete in front of the Elliott Professional Building at 125 E. Washington St. Wednesday afternoon. Construction completion is still reportedly on schedule for Sept. 20 in the affected area between Vine and Bloomington streets. Later additions to the project will include new streetlights and street trees. The streetscape work, which does not include any modification of the U.S. 231/Washington Street pavement, is part of the overall Greencastle Stellar Community project.
