Soil and Water Conservation districts to host equipment technology workshop

Putnam, Johnson, Owen, Brown, Monroe, and Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) have teamed up with Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Equipment Technologies Agriculture Center in Mooresville Ind. to host a workshop on current sprayer technologies.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 8:30.

The morning will begin with morning snacks provided by Farm Bureau Inc. Topics of the day will be sprayer equipment: nozzles and minimum drift, boundaries and no-spray zones led by Equipment Technologies staff.

Tony Bailey of NRCS will be the third speaker with Linda Tarr of AgrAbility finishing the informative sessions. Break refreshments and lunch will be provided by Equipment Technologies (Apache Sprayer).

After lunch there will be a tour of the assembly plant on site for those wishing to view the inner workings of what goes into the sprayer equipment.
