To the Editor:

What a great summer of music!

The ParkFest committee spends months preparing for and organizing ParkFest, and our 20th year was really special. This year's series was a community effort and the Greencastle Civic League would like to take a moment to say "Thank You."

Thank you to our musicians.

Mike VanRensselaer, The Hauskatz, who donated their paycheck to the Splash Park Fund, Homebrew Holler, The White Lightning Boys, Craig Brenner, Tad Robinson, John Bean, The Mongrel Dogs, Covered Bridge Country Chorus, Fret Set, Bridge 19, Maryann Michael, Jason Coons, Saturday Shoes, Carly Rhine, Wanted On Fire, Him & Her, Gus Moon and War Radio. You filled our summer evenings with outstanding music, week after week, and were truly enjoyed!

Thank you to the owners and staff of our local food vendors.

The Putnam Inn, The Final Approach, Monical's PIzza and Cajun Billy's Catering provided outstanding meals onsite. I know my family and many others were thankful, and we appreciate the effort that you made to provide that service to our audience!

Thank you to our sponsors.

This is the first year that Greencastle Civic League has invited our area businesses and community members to become sponsors of ParkFest. Our invitation was met with a generous response, and the financial contributions of our 2013 sponsors allowed us to book amazing talent.

The following businesses, organizations, and individuals made the difference: ETA International, Jackson-Hewitt Tax Service, The National Center for College Costs, Buzzi Unicem USA, HMSB Insurance, Hammer & Company, Greencastle Elks Lodge 1077, Dr. Dale Oliver DDS, Dr. Wayne Lewis, John and Diana LaViolette, Bob and Ellen Sedlack, DePauw University, The Russel J. Compton Center for Peace and Justice and the Greencastle Friends of the Park Association.

We absolutely could not have done this without your financial support. Thank you for supporting the arts and contributing to a beautiful summer.

Thank you to the City of Greencastle and the Parks and Recreation Department for allowing us to use the Bob Flanigan Bandshell for the last 20 years. We appreciate that you included ParkFest in your summer flier. We also truly appreciate your efforts to keep the park clean and beautiful. You do so many little things behind the scenes, and it does not go unnoticed.

Thank you to the Banner Graphic for publicizing the bands, and to WREB for making weekly announcements over the airwaves.

A tremendous thank you to Greg Hedge of Greg's Audio Support, for providing wonderful sound and tech support at a generous rate.

And finally, thank you to our Park-Festivarians.

Week after week, you came out to support this music series. Seeing your faces every week helped us remember why we spend countless hours planning and executing ParkFest. We hope you come back, year after year.

So thankful that you are our neighbors.
