A three-car accident on Indianapolis Road resulted in minor injury to one of the drivers Wednesday afternoon, Greencastle City Police reported.

The 2:42 p.m. mishap occurred 300 feet east of 10th Street as Robert Merlin Maltsberger, 69, Rockville, said he was distracted by a vehicle about to exit the First National Bank parking lot at a reported high rate of speed. He told Officer Jeff Modlin that the westbound vehicles in front of him came to a stop as he looked away and he then had no time to avoid a collision.

His 2004 Buick Century struck the rear of a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Jason Duncan, 30, Greencastle, which was pushed into the rear of a 2004 Cadillac, driven by Jason Fuller, 43, Plainfield.

Duncan complained of whiplash and Operation Life ambulance was called to the scene.
