Nancy Lee Monnett

Nancy Lee Monnett, 74, Cloverdale, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

She was born April 20, 1939 in Michigan to William and Bernice Irick.

Nancy and her husband Melvin ran an upholstery company as well as a trophy and engraving business.

In her free time she enjoyed, sewing, quilting, painting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Monnett, and brother William Thomas Irick.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (Chuck) Mowery, Cloverdale, Jamie (Richard Berry) Monnett, Cloverdale, and Tina (Matt) Monnett-Dever, Bangor, Maine; a brother, James (Vicki) Irick, New Haven, Ind.; a sister, Linda (Jim) Wery, Algor, Mich.; grandchildren, Mitch (Pamela) Berry, Mishawaka, Dylan (Lucy) Monnett, Cloverdale, Jessica (Kevin Bickwermert) Mowery, Cloverdale, Nicole (Tyler) Norton, Cloverdale, Kayla Buchanan, Avon, and Vashti Monnett, Bangor, Maine; and great-grandchildren Keenan Mowery-Shields, Demaryirus Monnett, Feleasha Monnett and Melea Berry.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Richard Pippin officiating.

The family will accept friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
