Friendship Day boost for community support

The Putnam County Food Pantry benefited from the community's spirit of friendship this past week. During Friendship Day Sept. 11 community members were asked to bring a canned good when they got their flowers, as a result the food pantry recieved a hefty donation of food and money. Those present for the donation were Tammy Johnson, Jeff Flint of Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Lora Zoll of Ivy Tech, Beth Hurley of A+ Home Realty, Tyler Cox of A+ Home Realty, Rick Burger of Duke Energy, Kent Sullivan of Eitel's Florist, John Jackman for the food pantry and Judy Miller for the food pantry. Other sponsors for Friendship Day were First National Bank, Goodwill of Wabash Valley, MetroNet and Asbury Towers.
