NP downed by Crawfordsville

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam boys' soccer team lost to visiting Crawfordsville 9-2 on Saturday.

Senior Bennett Hazelgrove scored two minutes into the second half to close NPHS's gap to 3-1, but the Athenian's offense took over the game from there.

Hazelgrove's goal came off a corner kick served by senior Nate Woolums.

Crawfordsville got goals from senior Jose Cortez (4), senior Ricky Vega (2), senior Josue Cardenas, junior Felipe Wilson and sophomore Kalidou Diaw.

North Putnam (1-9) will be back at it on Monday when the team travels to Western Boone for a 5 p.m. start.
