Reelsville Water Authority boil order lifted

Wednesday, September 25, 2013

The Reelsville Water Authority boil order has been lifted, it was announced Monday morning.

Due to a water main break last Wednesday morning, the Reelsville Water Authority had been under a boil order until lab samples could be sent to Indianapolis and returned clean for two days.

  • I just called the water company and was told the break is south and not everyone is on the boil order. Perhaps the BG can get a few more specifics and update the story before everyone runs to the store for bottled water?

  • When Reelsville Water Authority issued the warning they were not sure what area would be affected, thus the generic boil order warning. They have since repaired the break and the boil order is for customers on the SOUTH EAST side of Manhattan. They need 2 separate samples on 2 different days to come back good. They have answered all concerned customers questions best that they can. They alerted the Banner Graphic and WREB Greencastle radio station.
