BAINBRIDGE -- The Friends of the Park organization is looking for vendors for the Covered Bridges of Putnam County Festival.

The Bainbridge-based event starts Friday, Oct. 11 and runs for 10 days.

Money from the vendor fees will be used for programs in the parks served by the Friends of the Park group in the northern part of the county.

During the warm-weather summer months the group serves lunch in the Russellville and Roachdale parks and is looking into expanding the lunch program to Bainbridge if an adult organizer can be found.

All not-for-profit groups will again be allowed to set up for free during the 10 days or whatever days they wish to be there.

The festival site is along the north side of U.S. 36, across from the fire station in Bainbridge. Non-profits can have any space from a 10 x 10 to a 10 x 20. No electricity is available for free spaces unless the $25 electric fee is paid.

The Friends of the Park website is www.fotpfun.org. Vendor contracts are available on the website.

There will be a cruise-in on Saturday, Oct. 12 for all cars, trucks and bikes with dash plaques given to the first 50.
