South Putnam plans Dec. 22 visit to see Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

The South Putnam student body has begun a sales effort to sell discounted Indiana Pacer tickets for the South Putnam Community Education Foundation.

Tickets are priced at $12, $20 and $40, which is nearly half the normal ticket prices.

The South Putnam School Night ticket is for Sunday, Dec. 22 with a 6 p.m. gametime as Brad Stevens returns to Indiana with the Boston Celtics to take on the Pacers.

Three other game nights are available for those who can't make it on Dec. 22.

South Putnam fans will then be able to use their Pacer ticket to return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Jan. 2 to watch their own varsity girls' and boys' basketball teams play South Vermillion. Game time has yet to be confirmed.

Plans are also in the works to have some of the elementary basketball stars play during halftime of the games.

The Education Foundation will use the money received from Pacer ticket sales to provide South Putnam teacher grants and student scholarships.

Student ticket sales will conclude on Oct. 22.
