The Cloverdale eighth-grade football team beat Eastern Greene last week to finish its season 7-1 and secure its second consecutive Putnam County Championship. "This team has been dedicated to working hard and staying together," CMS coach Billy Boyette said. In Thursday's game the Clovers won 44-0. Steven Allen had 172 rush yards and two touchdowns. Drew Boyette threw for two scores, one to Nick Winders and one to Haiden Harbert-Davis. Drew Boyette had two interceptions and Ethan Radford forced two fumbles, returning one for a touchdown.
