Flu vaccines available at health department

With flu season upon us, the Putnam County Health Department has flu shots and FluMist available.

The health department has flu shots and FluMist available free of charge for children 18 years and younger who meet one of the following requirements: uninsured, Medicaid or underinsured.

Vaccines are also available for adults and fully insured children at a cost of $20 per vaccine. Payment may be made by cash or check.

The health department is located in the Putnam County Hospital. To make an appointment, persons may call 658-2783.
