Beans and cornbread dinner at Autumn Glen

Autumn Glen Senior Community in Greencastle will host a Ham and Bean Supper open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5-7 p.m.

Chef Mike Garcia will prepare this dish, complete with cornbread and lots of toppings, a favorite of Autumn Glen residents. Guests will also enjoy music and then a dessert of apple crisp.

Garcia caters to residents' request of weekly Monday ham and beans, saying they remember doing cleaning and laundry on Mondays, so that was a meal that could cook all day while they did their chores.

Autumn Glen is a Capital Senior Living Community offering senior independent and assisted living located at 98 N. 10th St. (Round Barn Road) just north of Indianapolis Road in Greencastle.
