DANVILLE -- Beasley's Orchard in Danville is planning a doggone fun event for pet owners, their goes and anyone who loves animals.

Dog Daze at the Maze is set for noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at Beasley's Orchard. It encourages pet owners to bring their dogs along for a final adventure through "Corn Dog," an eight-acre corn maze.

The maze takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete more than four miles of twists and turns.

Anyone seeking a pet is invited to visit the many rescue groups onsite that day.

The mission of Dog Daze at the Maze is to raise money and gain awareness for local rescue groups as well as offering a day of fun for pet owners and their pets alike.

Beasley's is donating 50 percent of the corn maze proceeds from the event to support local animal rescue groups.

Other activities during Sunday's event include a pet costume contest and owner/pet look-a-like contest.

This year's corn maze theme is "Corn Dog" with the design in the shape of a dachshund with a heart over his midsection and the words, "Who Rescues Who?"
